Laine started preschool 2 weeks ago, and these first pics are of her very first day. I wanted to wait to post until she got her new backpack. Poor Laine has been lugging around this huge duffel because her backpack I ordered did not come for 2 1/2 weeks!
Laine goes to Lisa's Learning Center Preschool and loves her teacher Miss Lisa. It is fun to think of her at school having fun with the kids and learning. Here she is going to preschool this morning.
The backpack worth the wait! It's the perfect little size and Laine already wants to take it with her everywhere she goes, and of course wear it around the house for fun. Since she can read her name and is obsessed with herself (she refers to herself in the 3rd person, or is it first person? She says, "Laine needs a drink, Laine is going to do it.") she LOVES that she can see her name on it and know it is "Laine's"

Oh how cute. She is such a cutie, I am already missing your kids!
She looks like such a big girl, and I love the back pack.
I hope things are going well for you guys and really wishing Ben could get a job out here in Ohio.
We enjoy it, but I am missing family pretty bad.
Cute Laine, and cute backpack. What a big girl! I don't know why you needed to order her the backpack, that duffel bag seemed to work out just fine, it's only almost as big as her! You didn't have anything smaller than that massive bag??? You are so funny, I would probably have sent Hallie with a grocery bag or something, I don't think it would have occured to me to get out a duffel bag.
In fact, Hallie lost her new "High School Musical" lunch box several times already and now I think it is lost for good. So I went to pack her lunch in a brown lunch bag, but it turns out she and Avery had used them all to make puppets. So Hallie took her lunch in a Target bag for a couple of days. I would have been mortified, but maybe that doesn't set in until 2nd grade, because she was fine with it.
Is it already cold enough there to wear pants and a jacket?
Love, Nicole
What a dream! One of these days I will get a girl to dress up.... I LOVED the backpack! I have become an all too frequent shopper at Potterybarn Kids and get EVERYTHING with Bobby's name on it (holiday stuff, towels, etc.) Where did you order the backpack (for future reference...) :)
By the way...I told Rob about the lovely post on hosing him down. Needless to say he was embarrussed, but was a good sport and laughed hysterically with me. :) I am glad I could add some entertainment to your family blog. :)
the backpack is darling. where did you order it from? or it is a secret? I can't believe she is going to preschool. Crazy how time flies!
Cute! Where do you get it? I'm loving pre-school! It's a dream when Olivia takes her nap then too!
Due to the many emails and questions about the backpack (no, it is not a secret! that's funny), here is the link:

For some reason that link doesn't look like it is going to work, but there is the link to where I got the backpack. If that doesn't work, I bought it on ebay from ebay member tuscanvilla24. It is a Stephen Josheph backpack, so just type that in and look for tuscanvilla24, there are other sellers who sell them but she was the cheapest. She has lunchboxes too.
Great pictures! I can't believe how old she looks - what a sweetie!
Where did you get that cute back pack? That is darling! I need one for Sage. :) So fun to see her going to school...she is always dressed to the T. I love it! :)
You have such a cute family! Where did you get that cute bag??
