Laine just stumbled in with her eyes closed and said, "I can't see. I fink I need glasses." Reminds me of someone, oh! Me! I always wanted glasses, contacts, and especially braces. I always put those skinny licorice ropes across my teeth, pretending it was a retainer. I also thought a towel wrapped on my head could be magical, beautiful long hair, and a long robe tied around my waist was a beautiful, full-skirted princess dress with a train...
Other than that there is not much going on, unless you want to hear about the dead bird in the pool. Oh, you do? Well, I've been dreading fishing it out, and finally just bit the bullet. The kids thought it was "swimmin", which was good, because I've had a long day and I wasn't in the mood to start the whole "pet heaven" conversation. Laine was actually excited to fish it out, I was wishing she was a little older and capable of doing it. We ended up doing it together and she said, "good little bird" and laughed as we caught him in the next and threw him into the trash.
On a completely different topic, Laine has had this new obsession with soap and keeps putting it in her drinking cup in the bathroom and then later forgetting and taking a drink of it. Today she came out screaming and crying and with each word she would blow a new bubble to go with the smaller little ones littered around the outer edges of her mouth. It looked like she was frothing at the mouth. For a minute, I had forgotten about the soap in the cup obsession and wondered what the heck was this?! Then I realized what had happened and I just lost it. I couldn't stop laughing at the poor wretch! It was so, SO funny, I'm telling you. She is such a good sport, because I always laugh at her distress, it's just too funny not too! Laine, I'm sorry I am a bad Mom sometimes, and thanks for being patient with me.
...Bubbles of a different sort

Hey where is the Dora and nacho libre photos? Loved the memories of the licorice, robes and towels! I would laugh at Laine blowing bubbles too...remember when I had to catch the snake, because neither the dog or cat would take care of it...better a dead bird than a live snake!!!
I like the brain dump here, total collage of stories. I am not going to lie, I also LOVE laughing when Laine freaks out. Her voice, which is already so high its hard to hear....and it then goes to a pitch that only small children and dogs can understand. Oh and my Gabe...what a cutie. And Mom catching a snake...I think she is getting confused with having Cade Taylor catch the snake. I don't recall this act of heroism she is claiming.
I was trying to surpress my laugh as much as I could because I am at work... but I really couldn't. This was all hilarious! I could seriously imagine you fishing the bird out and her jumping for joy that the bird gets a new home in the trash can. And the bubbles? I was dying laughing... I actually had to stop reading so I could gain a little composure.
Also, I forgot to include this on the last post, but you know that picture of Laine and Gabe when he is like two days old? Well Ben has one of those as his picture on his gchat and one time Jordan was like, "um, why does Ben have a picture of Laine with a doll... that is kinda weird." I then kindly explained that was Gabe. I thought it was hilarious... but maybe you just had to be there.
That is too funny! I remember trying to break my arm on the trampoline the day before St. Patrick's Day so I could get a green cast.
You are too funny. Poor Bird! I didn't know Laine and I share the same B-Day!! She was as lucky as me to have it on Father's Day. For now she doesn't know the diff. but in the future she will be depressed to have it fall on that day. She is such a doll!
I have found a blog for you Gildea's to read. Make sure you read her ticked off tuesday about private blogs and her other ticked off tuesday about Stephenie Meyer fans. She is hilarious!

Cute picture of Gabe. I have some "manprees" like that. Katie fashion polices me when I wear them though.
this was cute. I must admit I too laugh when laine is in distress! This was just too funny and dad is right he and gabe do have matching man prees!
So sorry to disappoint, but those aren't manpris. They are just plain old shorts. The only time he wears manpris is on laundry day when he has to wear laine's clothes.
