A little Father / Son b-ball time
An impromtu photo-shoot with Nicole and Kate
This was the day we took my sister-in-law, Allison, hostage and adopted her as our sister. We broke her in with hours of stories about people she doesn't know or care about from growing up in Orem. We chased it down with more stories of our crazy extended family -anyone up for some frozen chicken breasts and peas? Poor Allison was too nice to tell us that she 1. Didn't care 2. Couldn't decide if she wanted to slit her wrists or bang her head on the table until we stopped talking, and 3. That despite the fact that she was bored to tears, she actually really did need to get home! Sorry Ali!
As another side-note, we realized about mid-way through the evening that we were color coordinated. Merry Christmas everyone!
Thanks Katie and Shauna for the pics of Gabe in his tux! Mr. Cranky still looks handsome despite the tears and desheveled shirt. Ben and I have a long-running joke about how Gabe looks like a rich business -man who went to a party the night before and wakes up with a hangover. This is how he always looks 5 minutes after he is put into a suit or tux. The drool, the crumbs, the shirt constantly coming untucked. We make up all kinds of funny stories about his adventures and what kinds of things he must have been up to "the night before"

Well first, I'm thinking that I'm a little jealous of the sisters luncheon and the 3:00 a.m. girls nights. But I probably would have never wore red of that shade of green and ruined the whole thing. Anway, again, good to see you.
I am laughing my head off about Gabe and the tux!! The way you described "the night before" totally fits! You are so funny. Your poor sister-in-law and hearing about all the crazy Orem neighbors!! haha TAAANNNGGIIEEE!!
I'm sure it wasn't sooo bad for Allison. We do have the most interesting neighbor and extended family stories. I had so much fun. It is too bad that we don't get to do that sort of thing more often.
That seriously was probably the funnest time we have ever all had together. I am still laughing about it. And I agree, I hope Allison liked hearing the stories, the are pretty funny. And thank you Heather for the visual of TAAANNGGGIIEE!! I will laugh about that to my grave. When I write my memoir I should give Sister Alsop some of the proceeds. Their family will be what sells the book. I would really like to thank them letting me and Nat play the Gargoyle's of the castle. So sweet
I'm weighing in on the debate about me ... :) It was so much fun to finally be around sisters again, I'm missing mine that are spread across the map lately! So thanks for letting me tag along with the Gildea Gals! I'm just glad I wore the right shade of green. And I'm sorry I didn't send my copy of the photo (my real intent was to upload it at the Riley's that night so you could have it right away. Ah, even the best laid plans...). I'm doubly sorry because of my goofy smile in the pic from Katie's camera :)
Sounds like some real fun times. Loved the pictures. I am so glad that everyone had a good time together and got along so well. I am lucky to have such great girls. Love and miss you all. Thanks to Diane and Chris for housing us all and letting us crash in on their homes since we did not have one of our own. They were the greatest!
Ha Ha!! That reminds me of one of your posts when your dad was left to dress Gabe for church and the jokes started rolling about Gabe's "late night". :0
