Puke Beard

I don't know what is going on at our house. I threw up two days ago, Ben has been nautious, Gabe smells like something crawled up inside of him and died, and now this. Some of you may think I am possibly the worst mother in the world to take a picture of my girl at a time like this but that's how we roll. Last night when at 1:15 in the morning I hear some whimpering and then "Mom, Mom, I'm spitting!" I ran in to see her hunched over tossing her cookies {literally, Clara had given her chocolate cookies}. I rushed her to the toilet and told her to stay there and I went to her room to start the cleanup process. After I was done I went and gently rubbed her back and asked if she was okay. Then she turned around and I saw her chocolatey puke beard and I just lost it. It was so hilarious, I am not sure if it will translate quiet as well on the blog. We had a good laugh together and then showered and she was so sweet, she just needed some Mama cuddles.

Today we got Happy Meals and I took the kids to the park to eat and play. But she just puked again poor girl! Since Laine wasn't hungry, Gabe decided to polish Laine's meal off as well. Okay, I know this is going to sound funny, and I mean no disrespect to person's who have this disorder, but I seriously have to wonder if my son has Prader Willi Syndrome! The kid really puts it down! If you are unfamiliar with Prader Willi, it is the disorder in which the person doesn't have the mechanism in their brain that tells them they are full so they constantly feel like they are starving. Sad. Anyway, I am going to have to keep and eye on it with Gabe. Those of you who have spent any amount of time with the kid have probably wondered yourself!

You totally crack me up! I'm glad you could laugh after cleaning up the puke. Funny thing is that I did work with a girl who had Prader Willi (sp?) soooooo sad!

Only you would get the camera and have a laugh at puke face! I was laughing so hard. It is good that you and Laine could laugh about it! Hope she is feeling better. Poor Gabe is he okay. I remember Katie telling me about when she was tending him once and the burps he was having, she said it smelled like someone had died! She felt so bad for him, but he was knocking her over with the foul smell.

Nat, I can always count on you to make my day a little brighter! The Prader Willi thing about sent me over the edge!! You are so hilarious. James makes fun of me because I love to watch documentaries about obese people and so I knew exactly what you were talking about. The puke beard is a little to close to home for me since I have been cleaning up Preston's puke for a week and he is FINALLY over it. Love that you took a picture. Nice.

I swear you are the only person in the whole world who would think to get a camera out at that moment. And you are not exaggerating, that boy can seriously put down some major food.

Natalie, you seriously crack me up. I don't think I will ever find puke hilarious... particularly not the brown sort. I think Noah is going to have to be on comfort patrol, because I can't handle vomit, blood, etc... Oh gosh, I'm starting to feel nauseous...

When Ryan threw up yesterday I thought about pulling out the camera to capture it in his bed, but thought I would gross people out to much. It looks like she has a chocolate beard. Love that she is smiling in the 2nd picture too. Way to be positive.

I wish Ryan had that Prader Willi. He doesn't eat enough and is so skinny! I just think boys eat a lot. The grocery bill will be high for you when he and his friends come over to hang out! I have 3 of them. I am in big trouble!

Oh Nat. You're so great. Everything you do turns into an advernture. I also liked the story of the valentine's cookies. Crushed berries for food coloring? I never would have thought of that! You are the only one (in my book) who can make brownies and color her hair at the same time and end up having both be successful :)

YOU! Like your mom said, only YOU would get the camera and have a laugh at puke! Glad that you are enjoying the janitorial job as a mother. :) Keep those entries coming!

This was really funny...and gross. I love it though. You sure know how to make the best of something. I think that is great that Gabe eats a lot. My girls never eat and it drives me crazy. I seriously wouldn't know what to do if they took more then the three bites I force them to take at dinner time.

Those pictures of Laine are hilarious. I feel so bad she got sick, but her smile is so sweet! Maybe all of Gabe's eating will mean he'll grow up to be 7 feet tall?
